According to Mr. Vuong Hai Long - Director of the Management Board of the City Environmental Sanitation Project - The City Environmental Sanitation Project Phase 2 was deployed in District 2 to complete the wastewater collection and treatment system in the entire Nhieu Loc - Thi Nghe area, covering districts 1, 2, 3, Binh Thanh, Tan Binh, and Phu Nhuan.

    The project will build a sewer line with a length of 7.963m, a diameter of 3.2m connecting the sewer line on the Saigon River Bank to the wastewater treatment plant, using an underground drilling robot at a depth of -10m - 20m for construction and building a wastewater treatment plant in Thanh My Loi Ward, District 2 with a capacity of 480,000 m3/day.

    Total investment capital is 524 million USD, of which 450 million USD is borrowed from the World Bank, the rest is reciprocal capital from the city budget.
